What is the NYSC Certificate Number?
The NYSC certificate number is your unique identification number written at the top right corner of your NYSC certificate, just below the year of your service, which indicates that the certificate is yours. The NYSC certificate number is assigned to every NYSC certificate, it usually starts with A00, which is followed by 7 digit numbers. The NYSC certificate number is different from your NYSC call-up number or your NYSC discharge number. It is extremely important that you verify your NYSC certificate number, and the verification can only be done by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

How to Get the NYSC Certificate Number
The NYSC Certificate Number is only issued to corps members who have completed their mandatory one-year National Service. The certificate number will be issued on the day of collection of certificate. It will be clearly written on your NYSC discharge certificate. How to use the Online verification method

- Step 1: Visit the NYSC verify portal via https://verify.nysc.org.ng
- Step 2: Click on the “Proceed to Verification” icon
- Step 3: Enter your correct username and passwordWAEC Result
- Step 4: If you’ve forgotten your password, you can click on the “Forget password” link below
- Step 5: If you’re a new user, simply click on the “sign up” link belowJAMB Form
- Step 4: Click on “login” to verify
Note: The service charge for the online verification process is Two thousand naira (N2,000) only.

How to use the Offline Verification method
To use the offline verification method, follow the steps below:
- Step 1: Write and submit a letter of request for verification of certificate number to NYSC.
- Step 2: Ensure that the letter is addressed to the “Director-General, National Youth Service Corps, Directorate Headquarters, Plot 416, Tigris Crescent, Maitama, Abuja.”Things to buy for restaurant
- Step 3: Ensure that the request letter is marked “Attention: Director (Corps Certification)”
- Step 4: Attach a photocopy of the certificate you wish to verify
- Step 5: If you wish to verify multiple certificates, ensure that you number them serially with a pen, and attach the photocopies of the NYSC certificate to the letter.
- Step 6: Submit your letter to the NYSC Director General’s Registry located at the 6th floor of the NYSC headquarters (Yakubu Gowon House)Npower Recruitment
- Step 7: Do not forget to include your contact address, email address, and telephone number on the letter.
Note: The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) can only verify Discharge Certificate, Exemption Letter, and Exclusion Letter.
